Join us for All Pro Dad tomorrow from 7:15 to 7:45 in the gym! We hope to see you there!

The School Board has voted to move the last day of student classes to Friday, May 26, 2023 - requiring students to make up two of the five days missed due to weather. Staff will report through Friday, June 2, 2023.

The JHE Art Show is coming up in exactly three week! We hope that you can make it!

Yesterday was Paraprofessional Appreciation Day. Today we celebrated our awesome Educational Assistants with an "appetizer potluck." The JHE school community is fortunate to have such a caring and committed EA crew!

There was a lot of brain power being used in K05 today!

5th grade families,
If your child is going to Patrick Henry next year...see the attached flyer!

The weather can't quite make up its mind, but that hasn't stopped these fifth graders from enjoying recess!

We love JHE alumni! Mrs. Kielman caught up with two of her former students at last Friday's assembly!

Thank you to everyone who participated and recorded their reading!
We ended the Everybody Reads campaign with a grand total of 37,513 books recorded! Truly amazing! Way to go John Harris!

You are invited to the JHE World Fair, hosted by the 4th grade students. See the attached flyer for specifics! We'd love for you to come!
Also pictured: 403 students celebrated their hard work on their country writing projects!

5th grade families:
Have a 5th grader attending Ben Reifel next year? Please refer to the posted flyers for more information regarding the "Surviving Middle School" event coming up on April 4th!

It's the final week for Everybody Reads 2023. We can meet our goal JHE! Families/students have been putting forth a great effort. Let's make a strong push until the end of the month!

Today is Mrs. Stolp and Toby's birthday! This morning we threw a little celebration in the library. Toby was grateful for the treats, extra pets, and well wishes!

We are thankful for our "buddy rooms!" Many of our classrooms partner with another room, often a primary and intermediate class, to read, problem-solve, or complete special projects!
Last Friday, K03 and 505 became detectives to find hidden objects. Of course, they had to wear their disguises!
105 and 404 braved the cold for a sledding party!

SFSD would like to give a huge shout-out to our partners at Delta Dental who visit schools to complete much-needed dental work for eligible students! Cleanings, cavities, and root canals are all done in the mobile bus, so students don’t have to miss school for an appointment! You put a smile on our faces, Delta Dental! Thank you!

Last Friday, St. Patrick's day, students spent a portion of the their library time working together to create Leprechaun traps!

Grief and Loss are the topics of this month's Family Forum Series - an online program to strengthen families with a partnership between SFSD and Avera Behavioral Health. Watch for the link Tuesday at 6pm or join us at sf.k12.sd.us. Click Students & Families, then Counseling.

JHE All Pro Dad tomorrow: March 17th, 7:15am - 7:45am. Come join us for coffee, donuts, and great conversation! We hope to see you there!

Our "Everybody Reads" universe keeps expanding!
