The February HERO breakfast was last Friday. HERO breakfasts serve as an additional way to recognize students and parent volunteers that have exemplified the John Harris CORE values (Helpfulness, Excellence, Respect, Ownership). Nominated by staff members, these students and parent volunteers became recipients of the "Honorable Harris HERO award" for February.
K9 Officer Van Voorst, K9 Hugo, and JHE School Resource Officer Vanderhule were our special guests!

Last Friday, Washington High School students demonstrated a variety of experiments as part of the JHE science fair kick-off. It was so much fun! The Science Fair will be held March 22nd from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. Additional details were sent home with students Friday on an orange slip of paper. We look forward to learning from our student scientists!
Winston loves kids and books!
It was an indoor recess day. While playing outdoors is generally preferred, 5th graders are innovative in finding other ways to connect!
